10- Cotton Mill in Plagwitz

The Leipzig Spinnerei is a former cotton mill (Baumwollspinnerei) in the western industrial suburb of Plagwitz. Today, the old factory is home to a number of artists and their galleries.

7- Park Rosental and the Wackelturm

The Rosental Park covers the largest grassy area in Leipzig and is one of the city's most popular parks. In the summer, it’s great for picnics, sunbathing and capturing fun photos with friends.

The Wackelturm is just a few steps away from Rosental and from there, you can enjoy great views over Park Rosental aka the Green City.If you are visiting in summer, our top tip is to experience the Classic Open Air, when the Orchestra of the Gewandhaus and the Opera are “moving out” to Rosental and you can listen to some classical music for free.

This Landmark is simply breath-taking inside and out, in the daytime and at night.

The monument was built for the 100th anniversary of the battle against Napoleon I. Beyond the 91-metre-tall building, the lake creates beautiful reflections that look stunning in photos.

My top tip when visiting the Monument to the Battle of the Nations is to explore the Panorama Terrace, where you have amazing views over Leipzig.

3- Grassi Museum

Spring is a beautiful time and fills Leipzig with instagrammable spots. Our highlight at this time of the year is this stunning spot in front of the Grassi Museum. The students at Leipzig University love to spend their lunch break on the field between the blossoming cherry trees. In the heart of the city, this area is a lovely oasis of calm.

The museums offer great photo ops, too. There are three different institutions, one of which is The Grassi Museum of Musical Instruments. With 5,000 exhibits from five centuries, it is one of the most important museums of its kind in the world and well worth a visit when you are in Leipzig.

This skyscrapper - also known as City Hochhaus - can be seen from all over Leipzig. But to see it up close, and for the best photos, make your way to Augustusplatz.

Also, you will find the Opera House and the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig in Augustusplatz. Our top-tip, if you have time, is to head inside The Panorama Tower to the 31st floor where you can look out over the city.
