At the entrance of Tianjin Railway Station, and this Michelangelo-inspired painting greets you. Completed in 1988, this art piece possesses a strong resemblance to the renowned dome work Genesis in the Sistine Chapel in Rome. Jingwei is the name of the bird that was transformed from Yandi's daughter. It was revealed that Jingwei was Emperor Yan's favourite daughter, and her original name was Nui Wa. She was playing at the East Sea one day, and she perished when an unexpected storm struck. She was then given the moniker Jingwei Bird (also known as ‘bird of injustice’) after she died and transformed into a bird. The bird has a white beak, red feet, and a design on its head.
