About Luohu District

Luohu District, situated in the south-central region of Shenzhen, stands as one of the city's central urban areas and among its earliest developed districts. During the inception of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the 1990s, Luohu District was the epitomy of the renowned term, "Shenzhen Speed". Additionally, it serves as a pivotal point for exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong SAR, featuring three ports: Luohu, Man Kam To, and Lian Tang. More notably, Luohu Port is the largest transportation hub linking Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The district boasts city landmarks such as the Diwang Tower and Guomao Building, as well as an abundance of tourist attractions, including Diwang Sightseeing Window (Shenzhen-Hong Kong), MixC Shenzhen, Dongmen Pedestrian Street, and Xianhu Botanical Garden, all of which draw a substantial number of both domestic and international visitors.

SHENZHEN MUSEUM(10.6km)

Shenzhen Museum was founded in 1981 as the first cultural museum in Shenzhen.  It comprises 4 museum sites, including Shenzhen Museum of History and Folk Culture, Shenzhen Museum of Ancient Art, Shenzhen Reform and Opening-up Exhibition Hall, and Former Site of Dongjiang River Guerrilla Command Headquarters.  Covering an area of more than 60,000 square meters, Shenzhen Museum is a large-scale headquarter-division museum that integrates collection, preservation, research, display, and education.

Chung Ying Street (11km)

Chung Ying Street is on the border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, within Shatoujiao. It was once a river and later became a street divided into two parts, with the east side belonging to Shenzhen and the west side to Hong Kong. In 1899, after the lease of New Territories, it was formed. Once a famous shopping place, it now transforms into a sightseeing spot with a history museum to attract tourists.

Dongmen Old Street (3km)

The birthplace and root of Shenzhen. It has witnessed and accompanied Shenzhen through many ups and downs, and has also experienced the tremendous changes that Shenzhen has undergone since the establishment of the special economic zone. Many ancient buildings have been rebuilt and restored, preserving the rich Lingnan residential characteristics. Tourists can strongly feel the rich cultural atmosphere of the ancient city's bustling streets when they are situated in Fengmao Street.

Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden (5km)

A multi-functional botanical garden integrating species conservation, scientific research, popular science education, tourism and leisure. Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden is committed to the conservation of tropical and subtropical plant germplasm resources.

Donghu Park (3km)

Situated in the eastern area of Shenzhen.  It is bordered by Wutong Mountain to the east, Aiguo Road to the west, Shensha Road and Yanhe North Road to the south, and is adjacent to the main dam of the Shenzhen Reservoir to the north. It is a comprehensive municipal park integrating viewing, amusement and service. With beautiful scenery and pleasant scenery, the park not only has beautiful and unique natural scenery, but also contains a long history and humanity.

XICHONG BEACH

One of the most beautiful beaches in China, Xichong Beach offers activities such as swimming, fishing, and diving, with many restaurants by the beach and even BBQ pits. The beach is kept clean, often has good waves for surfing, and also offers picturesque views and fine sand, a great place for family outings. 

Shenzhen Spring Flower Market

Before the Spring Festival every year in Shenzhen, the Spring Flower Market is held on Aiguo Road. There, you can experience the Spring Festival atmosphere in Guangdong just like the locals do, and purchase a wide variety of fresh flowers.

WINDOWS OF THE WORLD

A theme park featuring miniature-scale famous landmarks of the world. There are a few rides along with some shows as well in the park, and a mock passport can be purchased to collect stamps at each of the landmarks. This attraction is a great place for children to see the world.

SPLENDID CHINA

The scenic spots of "Splendid China" are organized according to their geographical position in China. The entire garden looks like a giant map of China. These spots may be divided into three main groups: ancient architecture, folk customs, and landscapes. Over 50,000 little ceramic men are placed in the various scenic spots.
