In recent years, Brisbane's reputation as one of Australia's top dining destinations has only continued to surge, with Black Fire Brisbane considered amongst the city's best restaurants. Situated on the ground level of Capri by Fraser, Brisbane, since opening in early 2018, the restaurant has established itself as a first-rate spot for lovers of great quality Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Whether you're seeking a huge feast with your family and colleagues or just want a cosy spot to relax with a delightful snack and a coffee, Black Fire Brisbane presents a sensational dining experience that's both affordable and delicious.
Modern Spanish by chef Alessandro Spiga
As the second iteration of the Black Fire brand, the restaurant is led by prominent Canberra-based restaurant group Fuego Nero, which was perfectly poised to launch the Brisbane venture at Capri by Fraser, Brisbane. Having maintained a stellar reputation over the years with its bustling restaurant in the heart of the Australian Capital Territory, the restaurant's head chef Alessandro Spiga was recruited to lead Fuego Nero's venture into Brisbane with the addition of a new Black Fire Restaurant. Joined by company culinary director Paulo Milanesi, the pair are a match made in heaven, bringing a wealth of experience to a restaurant that continues to inspire the highest gastronomic standards. Before joining Black Fire Brisbane, chef Alessandro spent five years working at Italy's Ristorante Dal Corsaro alongside world-renowned Michelin-starred chef Stefano Deidda. However, Spiga would later collaborate with Milanesi for the first time at the prestigious double Michelin-star restaurant Pilu at Freshwater in Sydney.
Incredible dining, catering and room service
Bringing Spiga and Milanesi's cultural heritage to the table, Black Fire Brisbane offers diners a menu that highlights tantalising Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, plus a few modern twists. Across the thoughtfully created a la carte and tapas menu, each elegantly presented plate is produced with locally sourced organic and seasonal produce that ensures rich flavours and freshness of the highest order.
Black Fire Brisbane also features an expansive wine list, which showcases a host of world-class bottles from Spain, Italy and throughout Australia's own winemaking regions that are a certainty to complement each option on the menu perfectly. With more than 50 eclectic varieties of wine to choose from, there's also a selection of wines from an exclusive Canberra-based vineyard and an array of sangria and cocktails to pair with your Spanish feast.
Open every day of the week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Black Fire Brisbane also offers extraordinary catering options for Capri by Fraser Brisbane's many on-site conferencing and event spaces.
