There will also be a collection of Australia's most internationally recognised fishing and boating legends in attendance, who will take to the stage and offer audiences advice and stories through a series of engaging presentations. The headline speaker for the Brisbane Boat Show 2019 is Tim Simpson, a multiple world record holder and one of the world's greatest game fishermen. Sharing a wealth of advice that he has amassed following decades at the top of the sport, Simpson will also highlight three key tips that keen anglers can follow for certain game fishing success. Discussing his six current fishing world records, visitors will also have the chance to hear about how Simpson achieved success across the industry and became editor of the prominent fishing publication BlueWater Boats & Game Fishing.
Also in attendance will be Australia's best-known and highly prolific fishing writer, Steve 'Starlo' Starling. Having published more than 20 books and countless articles and videos, Starling remains one of the most popular voices amongst fishing royalty in Australia. For the Brisbane Boat Show 2019, Starling will be on-hand to discuss fishing in tidal estuaries, which are the most popular recreational fishing waters in Australia. Offering hints on reading temperate and sub-tropical estuary systems, Starling will also provide his best tips for how to improve just about any catch.
Another leading speaker will be aquatic scientist and lure-fishing devotee Greg Vinall, who will grace the stage to present 'Fishileaks', or his list of secret tips from one hundred of Australia's top anglers. Having been the host of the Australian Lure Fishing Podcast for close to one hundred episodes, throughout his encounters with a huge variety of expert anglers, Vinall has subsequently produced a list of five crucial tips that he believes will improve the results of any fishing expedition. In addition, Paul Burt considers a variety of cunning techniques that involve finding the precise spots where fish congregate to search for their food. Throughout his talk, Burt will help the audience discover these hotspots and discuss how anglers can use them most effectively.
Fun boating events for the entire family
It's not easy to buy a vessel without first seeing it in action. Fortunately, the Brisbane Boat Show 2019 features the Boating Safety Pool, a huge 35-metre long indoor pool that'll be the place to catch a host of on-water demonstrations. From kayaks to stand-up paddleboards and pedalboards, plus a range of other vessels, you'll be able to get yourself on the water as you have the opportunity to experience these great marine products first-hand.
