ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Sales is responsible for the daily sales efforts and is responsible for the overall positioning of the hotel, brand communication and the development of customers for the property including Rooms and Dining. In addition, he/she is responsible for rental revenue, yield strategies, implementation, market performance and meeting budget, forecast, and optimal business mix targets. Strategies will include pricing, status, direct sales, market mix, marketing, and public relations. Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision-making skills and an astute business acumen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the General Manager and and relevant parties to develop a tactical marketing plan that identifies market niche and segments
- Monitor and review sales production and adjust sales activities, account coverage and sales priorities in order to achieve set goals/budgets and forecast
- Establish account qualification criteria and use market research to identify priority accounts and assign sales to assure optimal coverage
- Develop accounts(corporate/wholesale/partnerships) from sales activities and generate leads and bookings.
- Exposure in all key markets such as Corporate, MICE, Inbound, OTA and TMC, etc
- Lead, manage and motivate an effective team of sales professionals to achieve budgeted sales
- Implementation, management and measurement of sales strategies and tactical campaigns
- Close coordination and open communications with Regional Director of Sales
- Manage Social media platforms with Branding Marketing Communications to ensure consistent posting and adherence to our guidelines
- Develop and manage marketing/sales budgets and maintain effective internal marketing communications
- Establish team sales goals and allocate key accounts to each member
- Optimize room utilization by accessing the demand and supply for rooms
- Plan sales trips to key source markets for more accounts penetration/grow the accounts
- Participate with Corporate Tradeshows to enforce our presence/brand strength awareness
- Manage department budget, forecasts and operating expenses
- Perform related ad-hoc duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have had held the role of Director of Sales in International Hotel chain for a minimum of 3-5 years with strong focus and knowledge of yield management, distribution channels and forecasting skills
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Strong leadership skills, whereas it is evident that you can effectively manage and motivate a team to perform beyond expectations
- Strong analytical skills so to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
- Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to team members
- Result driven and goal oriented, passion for sales and target-based performance
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work well under time pressure and pressed time
- Knowledge of hospitality industry
- Strong oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia
