Step inside Regent Place and you’ll quickly lose yourself in an abundance of paper lamps, lattice windows, street art and other colourful decor. The upper floors provide access to a variety of fashion retailers, beauty parlours and one-stop medical services, but the lower floors is where you’ll be able to satisfy your hunger and general craving for a quality meal. Seek out the hidden oasis that's Wendy's Secret Garden
 

What is it? This secret garden, with full views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, is part public, part private land at the foot of artist Brett Whiteley’s home in Lavender Bay.

Why go? For years, the land was tangled, overgrown and strewn with rubbish, but when Whiteley died in 1992, his widow, Wendy, channelled her grief into creating a place of enchantment. Sydneysiders come to escape the busier parks and enjoy a picnic in the hidden oasis.

Carriageworks Farmers Market may be a go-to for its abundance of fresh produce, but it’s as much about treating your taste buds on the spot as it is about stocking up your pantry. How Do You Get Around Sydney?

There are many different ways to get around Sydney.

• The Sydney Lightrail connects you from Central to Circular Quay with all the major stops in-between: Chinatown, Townhall, QVB, Wynyard and Grosvenor Street. The Sydney Lightrail will also take you to Bondi Junction and the Sydney Convention Centre.
• The Sydney Metro runs frequently across the city and connects the CBD with the North, South and West of the city. If you are looking at where should I stay in Sydney as a tourist, the Sydney metro will easily bring you from Sydney Central to Pitt Street (the main shopping street), Martin Place (a pedestrianised inner-city street) and Barangaroo, which is right by the waters of Sydney Harbour.
  
• There are many buses across the Sydney CBD, connecting the inner city to Surry Hills, Kings Cross and even Bondi Beach.
  
• Taking the ferry across to Manly is a highlight of any visit to Sydney. You can get to many other parts of Sydney by ferry as well, for example to the Sydney Zoo or the Watsons Bay Hotel, which is a beautiful spot to visit for a sunset over a drink.
  
• Of course, Sydney has Uber and other taxi services which you can use on-demand to get around.          
•  If you are looking for getting around Sydney on the cheap, taking public transport is your best bet. Many parts of Sydney are also flat and very walkable!
