It is the only serviced residence chain to win this year
Singapore, 26 October 2004 - In recognition of its dedication to quality service, Fraser Serviced Residences won 16 awards at this years Excellent Service Award (EXSA). The win is a significant one for the company as it is the only serviced residences chain to have won this year.
Said Frasers Chief Operating Officer, Mr Choe Peng Sum, "We are indeed honoured and very proud that our staff have won the awards. At Fraser, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of all our customers. We believe in offering not only excellent service, but service from the heart. It is this Fraser difference that sets us apart."
Launched in 1994, EXSA is a national award that recognises individuals who have delivered outstanding service. It is managed by SPRING Singapore (the Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board of Singapore) and seven industry lead associations.
A record 219 service companies will receive awards this year, which marks EXSAs 10th Anniversary. This is also the first year in which the serviced residences category was included in the Security and General Services sector of the award.
Frasers 16 awards - 6 Gold and 10 Silver - were garnered by staff from its two flagship service apartments in Singapore: Fraser Suites and Fraser Place. The award winners came from a mix of departments including Operations, Housekeeping and Engineering.
One of the Gold award winners, Fraser Suites Housekeeping Supervisor, Mr Ken Yap said, "Unlike in hotels, the guests at Fraser generally stay for longer periods. So we try our very best to provide service that makes them feel at home. In fact, many of our housekeepers treat our guests like their adopted families - cooking for them and even taking care of them when they are not feeling well."
Added Mr Choe, "Service from the heart is an integral part of the Fraser brand. This is how we create a home away from home for our guests in Singapore and in all of Frasers properties worldwide. We hope to achieve a signature standard of service that even other serviced residences talk about."
To set itself apart from the competition, Fraser recently launched a range of comprehensive branded services known as The Fraser Difference. These distinctive services are aimed at meeting the unique needs of guests - from kids to homemakers to families. The services under The Fraser Difference umbrella include Fraser Spa, Fraser Kids Club, The Retreat, Fraser Touch, Fraser Care, Fraser Connect, Fraser Home and Fraser Friends.
Besides the EXSA, Fraser was also awarded the People Developer Standard earlier this year by SPRING Singapore. Some of the other awards won by the company in 2004 include the Most Distinctive Brand: Singapore Promising Brand Award and the Arts Supporter Award among others.
