Singapore, 19 October, 2010:- Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd today marked another milestone in the development of its second brand, Modena with the opening of Modena Putuo Shanghai, its second in China. The property offers a ‘boutique hotel’ experience with a vibrant and youthful design geared towards short and mid-term stay.
Comprising 348 all-loft style residences, ranging from studio to 2-bedroom options, Modena Putuo Shanghai offers a ‘boutique hotel’ experience with modern furnishings. Easily accessible, it is ideally located in the heart of the Zhenru area of the Puxi business district, within walking distance to the Metro and the Shanghai Train Station, the hub for intercity travel.
“China’s exceptional growth has spurred both domestic and international travel. Many business travellers, or as we call them, road-warriors on frequent short business trips or project based work are looking for accommodation that complement their hectic and energetic lifestyle,” said Mr Choe Peng Sum, CEO Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd.
The stylish all-loft apartments are fully furnished with separate dining and living areas, kitchen and bedrooms with free WiFi internet access throughout. Each residence comes complete with a home entertainment system, cable, satellite TV and iPod docking stations and opens out into a spacious balcony that offers views of the city. Some of the services include a laundromat with a games corner, round-the-clock gymnasium and yoga room and an inviting all-day café, concierge and 24-hour security services. Door and elevator access is via a security keycard system.
“It is with this growing segment of young, mobile and independent professionals in mind that Fraser created and customised our second brand, Modena. These work-hard and play-hard business travellers are totally in tune with today’s fast moving, high-tech business environment and they demand efficiency of product and services that will meet their lifestyle needs”, said Mr Choe.
The Modena brand made its debut in China in March this year with the opening of the 104-unit Modena Heping Tianjin. Modena Putuo Shanghai brings to 11 the number of Modena properties in operation and on the drawing board in China and the region. Of these, six properties are scheduled to open over the next two years; Modena Jinjihu Suzhou, (2010) Modena Ligondi Suzhou, (2011), Modena Wuxi (2012) and Modena Wuhan (2012). Outside China, Modena will make its debut in Vietnam in 2011 and Singapore in 2012.
Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd currently manages 35 properties around the world under both the Fraser and Modena marques – a total of 5,000 individual residences in 21 cities worldwide. And with another 6,000 residences on the drawing board, the company is on course to manage more than 10,600 individual residences by 2012.
