FRASER CLINCHES DOUBLE AWARDS wins for design, originality and content
14 Jul 2003 - Singapore
Fraser, the premier international serviced residence chain, has won two awards for its website: the American Design Award and the Golden Web Award from the International Association of Web Masters and Designers. The Golden Web awards are presented to those sites whose web design, originality and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of recognition. The American Design award recognizes graphics and web designs that value the art of visual communication. “We are delighted that our website won!” said Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chief Operating Officer of Fraser Serviced Residences Pte Ltd. ”We wanted to create a website that is an extension of our brand values, which is top notch hospitality.” In line with the Fraser brand promise Where You Are More Than Just A Guest, the website opens with faces of Fraser staff and guests, to support its branding of a home away from home. The website – – projects its brand values on the World Wide Web, bringing surfers into the Fraser experience. “We provide web-based services for our guests through an intranet. This website is aimed at corporate bookers, human resource departments and secretaries who are searching for suitable medium to long-term accommodation. So we wanted this target public to get a feel of Fraser when then go into our website.” Information and photographs can be obtained of all the Fraser properties worldwide. Fraser currently has properties in Singapore; Seoul, Korea; Manila, The Philippines; and London, UK. Plans are underway to build and open properties in Shanghai and Shenzhen in China and Sydney in Australia over the next two years. Other properties are being evaluated as well. The site also has a section to make reservations, so that customers can book their accommodation. In addition, there are links to other websites that provide tourist information of the various countries where Fraser has residences in. “In order to be the best in our field, we have constantly innovated, to keep our products and services a step ahead of our residents’ requests, and the website is just one example of this,” said Mr Choe. Fraser was the first to set up an experiential meeting facility and was voted the Best Meeting Place in the Top 50 Travel Destination Feature by The Expat Magazine in July. Called The Retreat, this innovative facility combines spa comforts with health foods in a business meeting setting. In this way, companies using The Retreat for brainstorming will be able to get maximum effectiveness. Similarly, Fraser was the first to offer resort-style spa services to the extended stay market. “Capsule” treatments were formulated so that busy executives could enjoy spa treatments even as they juggle their appointments.
