Engineering Manager

You will spearhead the optimal performance of the maintenance operation and services, to achieve a level of comfort and satisfaction that exceed Residents’ expectation and which is cost effective and operationally viable.  You will be leading a team of technicians and contractors to manage the day –to-day maintenance and functional operations of all properties. You may be assigned to assist in special projects from  time to time and you may be required to travel if the need arises.

Your job duties include liaising with other departments and contractors to achieve Residents’ satisfaction and comfort while optimising the usage of operating equipment; supplies and services. 

You will also define and identify standards for maintenance and repairs of furniture, fixtures and equipment. You will be responsible for special projects, treatments and repairs. You will simplify work techniques, update new techniques, supplies and equipment, increasing efficiency and the maintenance of operational readiness of equipment and supplies. 

You will optimise manpower, performances by identifying, develop and address manpower needs and training and review current systems. You will uphold of company policy and procedures to ensure the safety, security and welfare of Residents and staff.  

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building/Facilities/Real Estate Management or equivalent
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience, of which 1-3 years in managerial / supervisory capacity and ability to manage a team of technicians and external contractors.  You are expected to counsel staff who do not perform up to the required standards.
  • Strong in M&E knowledge with hands-on experiences
  • Must possess  a certification as a Fire Safety Manager
